BEHIND BASIN POINT REAL ESTATE
The Story
Amy Saxton opened Basin Point Real Estate after successfully guiding over 160 unique purchases and sales throughout Maine. She found a need for highly specialized, tailored brokerage services along the Midcoast.
Now, Basin Point Real Estate is growing. We recently added an experienced broker to the team. Now, we truly can be two places at once!
While we specialize in coastal towns, don't shy away from asking about any part of Maine - we probably know who can help!
How We Can Help
Over the last ten years, Amy’s focus has been in listing properties. Her favorite thing is prepping a place to sell. She’s developed many, many contacts who help make the seemingly impossible, possible. She absolutely loves to hear sellers say - my house has never looked better!
By being a listing broker and seeing hundreds of offers, she has become a much better buyer representative. Buyers can count on carefully crafted offers designed to get the sellers' attention and secure the property even in a very competitive market.
Michelle still loves learning about the ever-changing real estate market in Maine. She has maintained invaluable connections to the people she’s met along the way, and recommends the best she knows first-hand to clients. She has found her niche.
Dot has a long-held love for all things real estate, particularly the connections between people and the properties they choose. She holds the highest license level available in Maine, and brings her knowledge, ethics, and experience to an office that focuses on the quality of every transaction.
Meet Your Agents
NICE TO MEET YOU
I’m Amy Saxton
When my family left Gloucester, Massachusetts in the mid 1800s, they were headed to Boothbay with a schooner full of goods and supplies to start a general store. A storm forced the vessel to seek haven in Cundy's Harbor and after some discussions, the town’s people convinced my ancestors to set up shop there. Watson's General Store still stands today. My love for Coastal Maine runs deep within me. I just know this is my spot. From the rugged seaside to the rolling farm fields and forested acres inland, I feel a deep connection to the land. I feel incredibly fortunate to have grown up here and understand the gravitational pull to our state.
It’s my life passion to assist people in getting to where they want to be.
In my first career, I worked with regular folks elected to the Maine State Legislature to problem solve constituent issues, craft thoughtful policies, and present compelling public relations testimony and press.
Today, I use those honed skills to carefully guide the sale of a treasured family home in order to move on to the next chapter, or excitedly introduce a buyer to a corner of Maine they didn't know existed. These aren't just sales to me - they are important life events that I feel humbled to be a part of.
I'm a planner, a list maker, organizer and detail person. When I meet a prospective client - their goals become mine. We talk about what you want to accomplish and make a plan for success. I love all of it. Really!
When I'm not "real estating", you may find me on our race lobster boat turned cruiser, the Voop, spending time with the hubby, daughter or grand dog, or working on home and garden projects with yacht rock playing in the background.
I feel so very fortunate and recognize the divide between people who have, and those who do not. I'm the proud co-founder of Ararat T.E.A.N. a social media group of people I affectionately call "do-gooders" who leap into action when we hear of a student in need. I serve on the board of the Maine Women's Giving Tree, enjoy cooking for Harpswell Aging at Home when I can, and I'm a retired high school girls hockey Team Mom and fundraiser for the new area high school.
It is my hope that you will entrust me with your real estate goals.
NICE TO MEET YOU

I have to be honest…I’m from away. I’m not a born and raised Mainer…but I am a true New Englander. I’ve tried living on the west coast for a bit…but found myself longing for all four seasons. Now I can’t see myself living anywhere else but Maine. I am home. I did not dream of being a REALTOR®…but I always wanted to pursue a career in which I could help others. I went to college and graduated with a degree in Studio Art concentrating in interior design and I minored in Art History concentrating in architectural history. I’ve held many different types of jobs…ask me about them…but then unknowingly I started to build my foundation. I worked for a mortgage company. I became a processor at a title company. I worked in the affordable housing industry for a tax credit syndicator. I learned a variety of skills and gathered essential knowledge of the real estate industry…and then one day I decided to jump right in and become a REALTOR®. In doing so, I found my way I can help people!
Eight years later, I still love learning about the ever-changing real estate market here in Maine. I’ve maintained invaluable connections to the people I met along the way and still recommend the best I know first-hand to the clients I help today. I’ve found my niche.
Real estate is not my only helping gig. I’ve volunteered at soup kitchens, did home visits for an animal rescue to determine suitable housing for dogs, and have served on the board of both the Cosmopolitan Club and Paw in the Door in Bath, ME. Recently, the Bath Food Bank selected me as Volunteer of the Week for gathering boxes of fresh produce and food items from a local grocery store, twice a week for the food bank!
Professionally, I have volunteered as trustee of the Merrymeeting Council of the Mountains to Shore Board of Realtors for many years…I acted as President in 2023.
For fun…well…I’m a homebody. I delight in working on my home, landscaping, gardening and coming up with interesting ways to pile my wood for the winter. I spend lots of time hanging out with my dog Frannie Rae and cat Brook Trout. I do enjoy walking around the city of Bath where I live, hiking the many trails in the area and relaxing on the ever changing sandy/rocky beaches. Home is the best.
Let’s find you your next home!
NICE TO MEET YOU

Originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA, I was 'adopted' by Maine in 1981 and am living my best life in Brunswick, part of the state's southern Mid-Coast! The people, the landscape, the challenges, and the amazing quality of life still feel like a great fit and gift! I have a long-held love for all things real estate, particularly the connections between people and the properties they choose.
I became a licensed real estate agent serving midcoast and southern midcoast Maine in 1996 and was a top producer for REMAX prior to joining Basin Point Real Estate in 2025. I hold the highest license level available in Maine. It’s a true privilege to bring my knowledge, ethics, and experience to an office that focuses on the quality of every transaction.
I've served as president of the Merrymeeting Board of REALTORS (now the Merrymeeting Council of the Mountains to Shore Board of REALTORS®) and chaired the Maine Association of REALTORS® Foundation (charitable giving for housing related non-profits). I've been a director of the Maine Association of REALTORS®. I'm an elections clerk for the town of Brunswick, past president of the Board of Directors for Tedford Housing and member of its capital campaign committee that raised the funds necessary for replacement of aging and inadequate emergency shelters and expansion of homelessness prevention services locally. I am a past member of the Brunswick Board of Assessment Review.
My husband and I own a small ‘hobby farm’ in Brunswick. We support a number of charitable efforts from animal rescue, to organizations that feed our neighbors, to agencies working to protect and enhance our environment and public access to land and water. I've skied and snowshoed Maine's mountains, hiked its trails, sailed and kayaked its waters, worked for and supported many of its nonprofits, and raised three children here. It's been home to me right from the start. I am an enthralled and enthusiastic advocate for all things Maine, and I look forward to sharing my Mid-Coast Maine with you!
